awarded 5 Year Consolidated Acquisition of Professional
Services (CAPS) contract
The Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center,
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH has awarded an $850
million firm-fixed-price, time and materials and
cost-reimbursement contract for
Consolidated Acquisition of Professional Services (CAPS)
among a number of firms, including PESystems. The
consolidated acquisition of professional services indefinite
delivery and indefinite quantity contracts will provide for
advisory and assistance services for customers at
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Each contract
provides for the following range of technical/management
support at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio:
Acquisition Logistics
Financial Management
Cost Estimating
Schedule Analysis
Earned Value Management
Contracting Support
Engineering
Manufacturing
Configuration/Data Management
Administrative Support
Security Management
Acquisition Management
Test and Evaluation
Government Furnished Property
Management
Litigation Support
No personnel or work is assigned directly under the
CAPS contract. Task orders will identify specific
services required, and the contractors will provide
qualified personnel with these specialties on short
notice. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling
up to the maximum $850 million, but does not have to
spend all of the money allotted.
The Aeronautical Systems Center,
Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, arms the warfighter with
world-class weapon systems, enabling combat aerospace
forces to ensure global vigilance, reach and power. Its
acquisition work force and support units deliver combat
capabilities to the warfighter, which meet performance,
cost and schedule expectations. Its major acquisition
programs include fighter, bomber, mobility/transport,
reconnaissance, special operations and trainer weapon
systems.
