Welcome to an exciting day at the PE Systems offices! On April 25th, 2024, PE Systems opened their doors to the next generation of innovators, explorers, and dreamers as we commemorated Bring Your Kid to Work Day. It was a fun-filled day as we invited our kids to witness the magic of PE Systems firsthand.
Starting at 9:30am, everyone enjoyed a light breakfast consisting of donuts and juice. Marissa King, CEO/President, led the opening session, extending a warm welcome and engaging everyone with icebreaker activities. Kids were asked to express what occupation they wanted to be when they grew up. They also embraced the challenge of envisioning themselves as CEOs, coming up with three rules they would implement if granted the opportunity to lead for a day.
At 10am the kids engaged in a Company Logo competition, where each young artist received a printed copy of the company’s logo to color creatively. Following the coloring activity, they embarked on a thrilling scavenger hunt and enjoyed games like ‘Spin the Wheel,’ earning exciting prizes along the way. Continuing at 10:45 am, kids got the chance to interview some of the staff and ask questions to find out more about what it is like to work at PE Systems. The fun continued with games of bingo and “Who’s on Your Team,” keeping the day full of excitement and interaction.
At 11:30, the day’s activities continued with a mug painting session, where deserving staff members received personalized mugs as tokens of appreciation. At noon, lunch, consisting of Chick-fil-A, macaroni and cheese, juice, and cookies, were provided for our young guests. Meanwhile, Doug Cooper, COO, shared insights with the children about PE Systems’ support for the Air Force. Inspired by this knowledge, the kids engaged in a hands-on activity, crafting paper airplanes and testing their flight capabilities in the hallways.
Between 12:30 and 1 pm, various speakers had the opportunity to engage with the children, sharing anecdotes and stories. During this session, the kids were presented with Certificate Awards recognizing their achievements throughout the day. As the day concluded, the children departed filled with excitement and a newfound understanding of the work their parents do.
