On 22 February 2017, the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (CCSD), Joint Base San Antonio – Lackland, awarded one of five multi-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, 10-year contracts to PE Systems to support material solutions and analysis for cryptographic and information assurance (IA) products. Contract requirements include studies, analysis, modeling and simulation of IA related needs, capabilities, and future efforts; developing risk assessments; and prototyping and testing of IA related end-item subsystems or support products. The Post-Award Conference was scheduled for 27 March 2017.
CCSD currently executes the USAF Cryptographic Modernization (CM) Program. The CM Program is a multi-year, multi-billion dollar lifecycle product support portfolio of programs that interfaces with and supports a multitude of DoD and USAF organizations including ASD/NII, NSA, the Joint Services, AFMC, AFSPC, ACC, AFGSC, and their respective weapons systems and platforms across the enterprise. Crypto acquisition is highly complex and requires cleared staff with specialized knowledge of cryptography and the NSA Type-1 systems security certification process. Their mission also includes lifecycle product support to cyber, IA, intelligence, force protection, and other critical systems and products.
